Hello! What a great week i had! So, 5 days ago, on 1st April, i flew off in SilkAir to Medan! I liked the plane's plate, MI234. So niceeee. HAHA. ANYWAY, Like, finally! It's been a 3 years looooong wait! On the plane, i almost forgot how beautiful the clouds were and stuffs like that. & It is always the case, where i will definitely get the window seats by the wing. Of cause, those who took a plane before, the best part has to be the one, where the plane lift off and pierce through the clouds and into a 'heaven-like' surrounding. You get what i mean. The only thing i didn't see were cloud forms! I didn't see any dog, Santa Claus or whatever shape from the clouds .. maybe global warming had took an effect? ):
But whatever, i touched down pretty early! Like, Indonesia time 8am plus i was already at Polonia Airport. Met my aunt and cousin! My aunt sure did became beautiful! HAHA, and we had breakfast. Man, it had been years and i don't see much of a change on the streets. But oh well, i feel home, like, really home. Back home.
OH! I went to visit Kawi at his house in Medan! Caught up a little and i was drove back to Pakam. Boy i tell you, i was so happy to see my grandfather. In fact, i was really ecstatic to see everyone! My cousins, have grew so much! The male ones had voice changes and female ones has .. HAHA. Let's just say, they became prettier. Myself, being the 2nd eldest grandchild in the Tenadi family, can really see how much 3 years had changed my relatives.
I had lots of comments about my ear piercing and hair. As you see, they don't really see guys with ear piercing and long hair much back there. But haha, it was all cool. (: Visited the fish farm in one of the days. Gosh! They have this big pond specially built to home a fish that was 2.5m long! Huge, and there were rooster and hens around the area. I betcha if the chicken fell inside the pond, the fish will probably gobble it down within seconds! XD
I had lots of fun, that is for sure. Oh, did i mention? My uncle taught me how to drive a manual car. Yeap, you guessed it, i drove. I will not say it is completely pointless, but the cars in Singapore are Automatic, so learning Manual may not help much. BUT, the idea is definitely there. I had fun, seriously. OH, my 16 year old cousin taught me how to ride a bike. HAHA, felt so ashamed, but again, i had fun! Lots of fun! (:
I can see this is a really wordy post, but what the heck. I ate like a pig over there, like 3 heavy meals, or if not, 4 or 5 meals per day. I went to weigh myself earlier just now and i was 2 kg heavier. LOL. Cooooooooool or whutttt~
The next day, i think it was on Saturday. My brother brought me out to Medan. Went to SunPlaza for Sushi Tei, then to the cinema for Clash Of The Titans. Verdict? Not very impressive, disappointing in fact. Haha, bought some Medan food i've long missed and never tasted in 3 long years back to Pakam. My brother was having some wise man talk with me. Haha, it was a good chat we had there. Telling me about how a man must not be lazy in life and how teenage is the easiest to stray bad or good and yadayada. It is different kind of nagging you will get from your mum. I was all ears when he was speaking. In the end, it was someone close to us, that motivated him to work hard. Mind you, he is the area head division of investment and blablahblah. Controls various branch of bank in the investment department. AREA HEAD. Almost near a boss, and is only 26 years old. I definitely look up to him. Well, had steamboat back at Pakam and wow, who says Singapore is number one food paradise? I don't. & What event can beat after food program of Blackjack with my relatives? ;D
On that Sunday, we got up really early to do the chinese prayer thing for the grave. Cheng Beng? Was it? Yeah, went over to my late grandma's grave. I almost cried when i kneel to pray. I had so much to say, so much to tell her, but i could only make out prayers for blessing. I felt like she was present, with us, and alive. I wasn't afraid because she is my grandma. Shan't go on about this anymore. I miss her.. ): Then later on, i accidentally burnt a tiny hole in my Levi's shirt. T^T
Visited my great grandfather's grave. Stopped by for the local chendol. Woo, really refreshing and tasty. There's this ingredient, i forgot the name, but it has alcohol in it. Man, it was good!
It was really happening. Even playing PS2 with my cousins did that very much needed bondage between us. I miss them already. So on that Monday afternoon, i had to bid my goodbyes and leave for the airport. Got on the night flight back to Singapore. My 2nd night flight i think? This time, the view and surrounding was not as good as before. Nothing beautiful, except when we were above Singapore, about to touch down, i saw this piece of land, beautified with lights making a heart shape! Amazing. Home sweet home.
Sorry if this wordy post bored you much, but it had to be told. I just hope it will not be another 3 years before i go back to my hometown again.
